WORKFORCE TRAINING
Clarendon County has a healthy supply of motivated workers and one of the nation’s top workforce training programs. South Carolina’s nationally recognized readySC™ program will provide customized training for your workers at no cost.
readySC™ is a program of the South Carolina Technical College System that provides customized training to new and expanding businesses. The program will help your company quickly and successfully start up a new facility or expand an existing facility by determining the knowledge, skills, and abilities your workers will need and then providing customized training within your time frames.
readySC™ staff members work with each company’s subject matter experts to learn not only about a company’s skill requirements, but also about the kind of culture and working environment desired. The program can design the training around a variety of approaches, including team-based, Five-S, and GMP; these principles are integrated into all aspects of training to ensure that you can start production with employees who are already immersed in your culture and processes.
readySC™ can create training programs within a wide variety of industries including aerospace, distribution, automotive, food processing, biotech, metal, plastics, chemicals, call centers, textiles, and many more.
Delivery options for training include hands-on simulations of your working environment, virtual recreations, computer-based training, hand-held video delivery, one-on-one training and mentoring, and classroom training.
In addition to readySC™, employers have access to REWARD—the Rural Economic Workforce Alliance for Resource Development.
REWARD is a Clarendon County initiative created to develop a pool of trained workers. The program unites all of the workforce development providers in rural South Carolina, providing non-duplicative, best-practice-based workforce development services and generating entry-level employees capable of producing high-quality, efficient work.
