Freeman Millwork Company, Inc., Clarendon County’s oldest manufacturer, announced today an expansion to a new facility in the Clarendon County Industrial Park.  The company will occupy an existing 52,084 square foot building formerly owned by Persona.

Grant Forest Products to Invest $200 Million in Clarendon County Will Create 120 Jobs

 

 

Columbia, SC – Grant Forest Products Inc., a leading provider of engineered wood panel products, today announced it will invest more than $400 million in South Carolina, building two manufacturing plants and creating about 240 jobs in Allendale and Clarendon counties.

 

The company also said it plans to buy locally grown timber for both facilities, which will be the first U.S. manufacturing locations for the Canada-based firm.

MANNING, SC ¾ American Wood Moulding, a Baltimore based supplier of wood and millwork products worldwide, announced today it is opening a new distribution center in Clarendon County. The 70,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space will serve the Southeastern market and result in the creation of 10 new jobs. The project should be completed and the hiring should take place in the last quarter of 2004. The American Wood Moulding facility is located in the Clarendon County Industrial Park at Hwy. 301 and I-95, and was formerly occupied by the Shearwater Corporation.
